The Lost Kosmonaut is the Conspiracy Theory that several Russian cosmonauts, including a woman, secretly went into space before Yuri Gagarin, who is reputed to be the first human being to journey into outer space in 1961. Two Italian amateur radio operators set up a listening post in Turin in the late 1950's and claim to have recorded soviet radio transmissions which started in 1957. The Soviets vehemently denied any such loss to their program or activity prior to Yuri Gagarin's flight. In 1960, the brothers claimed to have received a radio transmission from space, calling out the universal signal for "S.O.S". Using scientific analysis, they deduced that the signal was moving away from earth instead of towards it before the signal died. Two days later, the soviet's announced that a rocket had disintegrated but categorically denied that it was a manned rocket. In another recording, the brothers picked up the voice of a female in space, saying "It is very hot" and "I see flame". The female voice asks if the ship is going to blow up and cries for help. That signal abruptly ends, again with no confirmation from the Soviets of any incident occurring. While you ponder the theory behind the “Lost Kosmonaut", brew a cup of this smooth espresso blend typical of Northern Italy. Let the aroma of Lost Kosmonaut take you on a sensory trip to space and enjoy the richness, the beautiful crema and balanced chocolaty finish.
